After previewing the newest, somewhat surprising release from the Air Jordan camp just earlier this week, we take a closer look here at the AJ2 Retro in its “Infrared 23” form. Drawing obvious cues from the Air Jordan 3s and 6s already released this year, the Air Jordan 2 looks rather sleek here by combining speckled grey, black and highlight red. Closer inspection reveals details like the ribbed tab at the heel counter, the interaction of supple premium and grained leather at the paneled upper, and the slick attitude of the perforations around the toecap and tongue – altogether underlining the “flight” attitude of the original design. Look for these to drop on April 12 at select retailers like Wish Atlanta.
