As March 15, 2014 marks three years since the beginning of the ongoing crisis in Syria, Banksy has teamed up with the #WithSyria campaign and its coalition of organizations across the globe to bring attention to the unrest. The campaign sees Banksy adapting his so-called “Girl with the Red Balloon” as a symbol of hope and a way to transcend the country’s chaos. Twitter and Instagram users are encouraged to show their support by replicating the image and uploading it to either of the social media platforms along with the #WithSyria hashtag.
