John Legend featuring Common - Glory

Take a listen to this new collaborative piece from John Legend and Common entitled “Glory,” which was recorded exclusively for the motion picture film Selma. The historical drama, in which Common will also be starring in, is based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches led by James Bevel, Hosea Williams, John Lewis, and Martin Luther King, Jr. In search of musical contributions for the movie’s soundtrack, the producers could not have recruited a stronger pair to deliver this uplifting message. With Legend’s commanding vocals and Common’s beautifully poetic prowess shining on this freedom reigning composition, the song – just like the movie – looks to shed light on the past in order to empower the present and provide for a better future.
