Acknowledged in the past for taking a bold and adventurous approach, Japanese fashion label UNUSED has returned with its latest Spring/Summer 2015 collection titled “Hints of Luxe.” To understand the methodology behind this admirable eccentricity, the brand quotes on its website that, ”Pursuing an ideal frame is removed, dismantled, and it proposes a new shape to exist.”

While maintaining an inherently Japanese influence, the pieces appear to be more tailored, sophisticated and wearable as opposed to the looser silhouettes seen in Spring/Summer 2014. The positive change can also be translated into the choices of color palettes in what appears to be something slightly more considered and subtle with less ‘pop pieces,’ which transcends across the range that encompasses everything from outerwear and shirts to legwear and accessories. Highlights from the collection include the camel suede, collarless shirt, a selection of wide-brim hats, and broad collars accented by bandana details to solidify its stylistic aesthetics. Enjoy the lookbook and keep an eye out for the pieces to release at select UNUSED stockists in the coming months.
