Launched on Kickstarter in February 2013, Lasso is a French brand that was established “to breathe new life into slippers,” and to make lounging at home as comfortable as possible. The first pair of Lasso slippers was born when company founder Gaspard — who was tired to walking barefoot around his home — had the idea of cutting a spare piece of felt and sewing it with his sneaker laces, resulting in a design that’s ideal for keeping one’s feet warm and cozy year-round. Today, each pair of slippers comes flat-packed for self-assembly, and is made in France from a combination of wool felt uppers, leather soles and contrasting laces in a great array of colors.
