Elliott Power - On The Windrush (Unkle Reconstruction)

Producer James Lavelle, one half of British musical project UNKLE, reassembles Elliott Power‘s latest single “On The Windrush” into a euphoric piece. This remix begins with percussive dominance, containing barely any melodic characteristics outside of the arpeggiating bass synth, but transitions into a harmonious choral work during the latter half. Finally, the track ends off in a major chord, almost leaving the listener on a “happy note”, which is far from Lavelle’s intention for the track’s expositional section.
