Back in 1996, Michael Jordan laced up a pair of Air Jordan Retro 11s in Space Jam. His opponents – The Monstars – weren’t as well-equipped. Their generic sneakers may have helped them embarrass the Toon Stars, but they didn’t help them win the game. Here Converse roots for the villains with the “Space Invader” pack, a collection that includes the Aero Jam and the classic Weapons. Each sneaker was designed to pay homage to the fictional basketball squad – maybe if they had these then, Space Jam would’ve been a different movie. The Aero Jam is covered in a magenta suede material, while the Weapons intertwine black suede with green leather. For now, the “Space Invader” pack is available via Spain’s Sivasdescalzo, with stateside distribution following soon.
