After Powers was officially announced as PlayStation Network’s first original series back at E3, fans at New York’s Comic-Con on Saturday were treated with an exclusive first look at the trailer. Based on the critically-acclaimed comic book series by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michale Avon Oeming, the show follows two homicide detectives, Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) and Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward), who investigate the murders of superheros, commonly referred to as “Powers.” From the looks of the footage so far, it looks like we’ll be seeing a hard-hitting police procedural and an angry, unhinged, unshaven Sharlto Copley with a predilection for expressing himself with profanity.

Powers debuts on the PlayStation Network in December.
