Last month, Antwan “Big Boi” Patton and Andre “3000” Benjamin, collectively known as legendary hip-hop duo OutKast, took over Atlanta for three days with their homecoming concert #ATLast. The festivities went down entennial Olympic Park. Besides a three two-hour sets from the ATLiens themselves, the audience was also treated by stage performances from the likes of 2 Chainz, Future, Janelle Monáe, Erykah Badu, and others. Much to the crowd’s joy, Andre and Big Boi blasted out timeless cuts from their rich audio catalog that includes Speakerboxx/The Love Below, Aquemini, Stankonia, ATLiens, and more. While reports of an OutKast reunion album have been shut down recently, and the three-day event may mark the iconic duo’s appearance on stage, the fest was an appropriately emotional affair, which even saw Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed declaring September 27 as the official “OutKast Day.” We’ve had the opportunity to take some visual impressions from event and caught the likes of KiD CuDi, Childish Gambino, and Raury with the lense. Click through the gallery above and reminisce over your favorite OutKast moment. Stanks a lot, Andre and Antwan.
