HP has explored the future of 3D printing using a brand new immersive dual-screen platform called “Sprout” and the “Multi Jet Fusion” printer. The latest technology is designed to blur the lines between the digital and physical worlds. The “Sprout” combines a fourth generation Intel i7 processor with a dual-screen interface and features an armature that unites a scanner, depth sensor, high-resolution camera, and projector to capture and manipulate real-word objects in 3D. The “Multi Jet Fusion” printer is designed to improve the commercial viability of the technology and is capable of 10 times faster build speeds, higher levels of strength and durability, and more accurate detailing, all with lower energy consumption and waste. HP is working with users to get a greater flexibility and versatility in 3D printing materials and is looking to go beyond the use of thermoplastics. Check out the video for yourself above to see what HP’s new Sprout is all about.
