Created as an “homage to newspapers,” Scott Sternberg‘s latest collection for Band of Outsiders drew its inspiration from British newsboys of the ’40s and ’50s. The result is a Fall/Winter 2014 range that riffs on casual sportswear while displaying the youthful vibes and preppy design cues that have become Sternberg’s signature. Highlights from the range include pieces like the Felted Fleece Schoolboy Blazer – a clever cross between a blazer and a varsity jacket – sweatpants with woven contrasts, an updated leather varsity jacket and a quilted shirt jacket, all of which are stylish, contemporary updates of seasonal wardrobe staples.
