Sony can now lay claim to producing the world’s lightest interchangeable lens camera with WiFi with the debut of the brand new Sony α5000. Weighing less than 8oz., the camera packs a tremendous amount of shooting power within its lightweight frame. The camera features a 20.1 megapixel APS-C censor paired with a new BIONZ X processor. The built-in WiFi allows the camera to be connected to Xperia or NFC-enabled Android smartphones for instant image transfers. In terms of lenses, the camera is compatible with Sony’s growing family of E-mount interchangeable lenses — 22 in total. The camera will be available in silver, black or white finishes starting in March.
