The latest from Sony‘s Xperia line is the upcoming Xperia Z1S smartphone. The Z1S features a 5-inch, 1080p display with “Triluminos” technology borrowed from Sony’s Bravia TVs, and “X-Reality for mobile picture engine” which is designed to improve the viewing experience when watching or streaming videos. Under the hood is a 2.2Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GBs of RAM, 32GBs of built-in storage, and and a micro SD card slot for up to 64GB of additional space. Like its predecessor, the Z1S is IP-58 rated, which means it can be submerged in water to a depth of 4.5 feet for up to 30 minutes. The phone is no slouch when it comes to photography, thanks to Sony’s new aspherical G lens which promises to let more light through to the sensor, and the custom 1/2.3 inch, 20.7 megapixel sensor. There are a host of additional features including integration with the PlayStation 4, Bluetooth 4.0 and support for ANT+. The Xperia Z1S will be releasing in the States exclusively on T-Mobile.
