VIZIO Reference Series
In stark contrast to the electronics manufacturer’s wallet-friendly HDTVs, VIZIO took to CES 2014

In stark contrast to the electronics manufacturer’s wallet-friendly HDTVs, VIZIO took to CES 2014 to unveil its own set of ultra high-definition 4K televisions. Dubbed the Reference Series, VIZIO’s collection reimagines HD viewing with displays as large as a breathtaking 120” with uncompressed true 10-bit color and an 800 nit Ultra-Bright Backlight with revolutionary High Dynamic Range that delivers unparalleled luminance and true-to-life contrast thanks to 384 Active LED Zones with Active Pixel Tuning. The designs even offer a Pure Cinema Engine – thus allowing for films to be shown in their native 24 and 48 fps instead of a 3:2 pulldown – while High Velocity Mode is perfect for gaming by adjusting the frame rate to a speedy 120 fps. Driven by a V6 processor and both quad- and dual-core CPUs, the displays process more than 1 billion pixels every second while offering VIZIO Internet Apps Ultra HD – not to mention integrated 5.1 home theater surround sound.
