After premiering a special edition duo to kick off the new year, IWC has unveiled its latest addition to the Aquatimer range: the Aquatimer Perpetual Calendar Digital Date Month. The watchmaker’s largest timepiece in more than seven decades – only 1940’s Big Pilot’s Watch is larger – the new Aquatimer boasts a 49mm red gold case and houses IWC’s new SafeDive internal/external unidirectional rotating bezel system. Sporting large double-digit displays for both the date and month alongside a smaller digital display for the leap year, the watch includes a flyback chronograph function with an easy-to-read sub-dial for the hour and minute counters and is marked by a honeycomb motif throughout. Limited to just 50 pieces in all and complete with an automatic mechanical IWC Cal 89801 movement, the Aquatimer Perpetual Calendar Digital Date Month will soon be available from select IWC stockists.
