The Edition Hotels brand, a collaboration between Marriott Hotels and hotel guru Ian Schrager, are following up their recent launches in Honolulu and Istanbul with their newest grand opening: The London Edition. The highly anticipated building will call the historic Fitzrovia building in Central London its home, with Ian Schrager and his design team having worked closely with deign studio Yabu Pushelberg on a travel experience that is tailor-made for those looking to travel in style. The existing intricate and detailed architecture of the traditional building have been infused with modern straight-line designs, with 173 guest rooms and suites, as well as a penthouse that boasts an extravagant 2,077 square feet with customized furnishing and unique views of the city. In addition, the hotel is scattered with a hints of artistic influence, with the 140-seat restaurant featuring work by painter Johannes Vermeer and a bar inspired by American contemporary artist Christian Liaigre, bringing the hotel architecture to a finish with a unique, warm and modern feel.
