With a collaboration circling the rumor mill for some time now, Converse has finally unveiled its project with famed contemporary label Maison Martin Margiela. The two labels came together to produce iterations of the Massachusetts brand’s most iconic staples: the high-top Chuck Taylor All Star and low-top Jack Purcell. Considering Margiela’s history (the brand’s founder has never made a runway appearance, etc.), it makes sense that the most famously unbranded brand would present a rendition that is, well, inconspicuous. Here we find the All Stars painted in a pure off-white color, stripping away brand identity for an ultimately unique and artistic product. More information, such as the release date and availability, is sure to follow in the coming weeks.
