Back in July Kanye West found himself on the wrong side of the law, as he attacked a photographer, Daniel Ramos, at the LAX airport, and now the rapper has been charged with criminal battery and attempted grand theft misdemeanors for the incident according to TMZ. According to Ramos’ attorney, Gloria Allred, Kanye caused her client to suffer serious injuries, and sent Ramos to the hospital after the incident occurred. While earlier reports felt that West wasn’t likely not face charges in the case due to the lack of evidence, sources revealed that Ye was open to agreeing to a “civil compromise” with the paparazzo. Ramos instead filed a lawsuit against West with the Los Angeles Superior Court last month, claiming that Kanye interfered with his civil rights among other claims. If convicted on both counts, West could be sentenced to a maximum of one year in prison, and he’s currently set to be arraigned on October 10. We’ll keep you up to date on the situation as more news is unveiled.
