As streamlined as his signature suiting, New York-based designer Thom Browne invited Architectural Digest to look inside his “crisply tailored” Manhattan apartment for the latest issue of its publication. Located in an old 1930s building in storied Greenwich Village, Browne’s apartment was chosen chiefly for its beautiful terrace. Found after more than a year of searching around the city, Browne’s one-bedroom flat, which measures just 800 square feet, is flanked by more than 300 square feet of outdoor space – obviously prime real estate in the Big Apple – that offers beautiful views of everything from the Chrysler Building to the new World Trade Center tower. Inside, Browne’s apartment is marked by a stark simplicity with the designer stating, “I like it as clean and as uncluttered as possible.” Enjoy a glimpse inside the beautiful New York City flat and be sure to pick up the September 2013 issue of Architectural Digest for an in-depth look at the humble abode.
