It isn’t a stretch to suggest that the Heifetz name and its pertinence in the world of vintage clothing is largely uncontested; the subject of our Essentials Jesse and brother Drew are the minds behind one of the most extensive vintage clothing caches you could hope to find – F As In Frank. Remarkably, the siblings are able to trace roots back to their father who was one of few to possess a license as an official vintage vendor at Woodstock. Carrying on this legacy, over the years the brothers have amassed a truly impressive selection of deadstock sportswear, military surplus apparel and archived haute couture – all of which is offered at locations in Toronto and Vancouver. Following considerable success with the two FAIF flagship stores in, a full house label was conceptualized, with two pieces making the cut for this edition of our Essentials segment in the company of a hard-wearing WWII USMC P44 Frogskin camouflage jacket, Emmanuelle Khanh shades and some deadstock ‘Lo goods.
