Ahead of the debut of its upcoming 2013 fall/winter collection, contemporary Parisian label Surface to Air has introduced its first foray into eyewear with the release of a Spring/Summer 2013 collection of sunglasses. Recalling a number of retro silhouettes with pieces inspired by classic wayfarers, flat tops, aviators and more, the range also sees a number of futuristic hybrid designs – including a flat top wayfarer design inspired by that of the kind favored by Roy Orbison – and includes the likes of acetate and metal frame construction. Modeled here by a number of French heavyweights like Justice‘s Gaspard Augé and Ed Banger Records‘ Busy P, Surface to Air’s inaugural collection of sunglasses is now available at its Paris and New York flagships, as well as online.
