J. Cole Breaks Down "Power Trip" Beat

J. Cole didn’t just rap over “Power Trip,” he also produced it. While in NYC some early morning/late night, Sean Phazes filmed Cole reenacting the creative process for the instrumental of “Power Trip.” From the initial sample to the final product, Cole adds layer after layer onto his Logic session. During each step, he gives insight on why each sound was added with additional commentary coming from his crew. Cole also revealed No I.D.‘s positive reaction after hearing it for the first time.
