Who doesn’t like discovering new music? Well, presumably no one reading this, because if so, you probably shouldn’t be surfing this website. We here at HYPETRAK like bringing you all-new music from artists you may or may not have heard of before, and apparently, now so does Twitter. That’s right, your favorite 140-character-bound social network has officially ventured into the music business. Their form of doing so is with the Twitter #music app, which focuses on music discovery by giving you the option to choose from music that is ‘Popular’ (“new music trending on Twitter”), ‘Emerging’ (“hidden talent found in the Tweets”), ‘Suggested’ (“artists you might like”) or ‘#NowPlaying’ (“tweeted by people you follow”). Basically, it takes the music component of Twitter and brings it to life through a standalone application available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Sites like Rolling Stone have broken down the good and bad of it through thorough analyses, but overall, it seems to be great for music addicts, artists and avid Twitter users in general, so it’s a win-win-win. Grab it for free over at the App Store now and let us know what you think!
