While Mark McNairy takes substantial pride in his American roots, the designer is also fond of linking up with other entities abroad. The longstanding relationship between McNairy and Kazuki Kuraishi’s Heather Grey Wall has seen such projects transpire as the LACKLUSTER Collection as well as the “FUCK IVY” range. The latest in the designers’ America/Japanese repertoire arrives via the “AK47” coillection for Spring/Summer 2013.
As the title implies, the trio of goods is mocked up in a heather grey jersey knit material with scattered AK47 being the major imprint across the hoodie, shorts and cap. Subtle New Amsterdam patchwork is seen emblazoned along the side and back of the shorts as well.
