The small town of Cupertino is gearing up for a giant change as city officials recently gave Apple‘s massive “Spaceship” campus the green light. Renderings of the building have been released to the public, which leaves little to the imagination for the wondrous Apple headquarters. The 2.8-million-square-foot edifice was designed by famed architect Norman Foster, who reportedly worked closely with Steve Jobs to conceive the massive space – which was designed to run entirely on renewable energy. Fusing the outer environment with state-of-the-art minimal design, the “Spaceship” campus will play host to an underground auditorium, its own corporate transit center, and a press pavilion alongside space for 13,000 employees. Though public access will likely be highly regulated, enjoy a look at the space above, and look for more developments as they arrive.
