Nas will be taking his talents to the big screen, as the iconic New York emcee has been tabbed to executive produce upcoming hip-hop dance documentary Shake The Dust. Directed by Adam Sjoberg, the aesthetic will hone in on hip-hop culture around the globe. In addition to his executive production duties, Nas will also be providing new music for the film, as he had this to say regarding the work:
“What these kids are doing around the world reminds me why I fell in love with hip-hop and how important it is as a creative and constructive outlet. After hearing Adam’s vision for this project and hearing the stories, I was incredibly excited to help bring the film to global audiences who need to hear this surprising message of empowerment.”
