When Emmitt Smith left Gainesville for the NFL draft – and what would eventually be a decorated, Hall of Fame career – following his junior season, the accomplished running back had broken the school’s all-time rushing record on his way to three All-SEC teams and both SEC Most Valuable Player and unanimous first team All-American honors in 1989. Looking back at his storied pre-NFL career, Reebok has crafted a “Florida Gators” edition of the Reebok Pump Paydirt Mid – the kicks Smith wore in the mid-’90s and Reebok’s first cross trainer to feature the signature Pump technology. Decked out in royal blue faux gator skin, the trainer sports a gum rubber outsole and a combination of green, white and orange accents throughout. The Gators-inspired Pump Paydirt Mid is now available via Concepts for $125 USD.
