SHOPPER 2013 Skateboard Bag Collection

Ex Japanese pro skater Ken Asahi launched SHOPPER last year with the aim to inject skate aesthetics on to high-end carrier bags. Crafted with high quality calf leather, evocative pattern work, military-inspired fabrications and haute couture embellishments, this exquisite collection is made for skaters with interest for more esoteric elements in fashion and art. Functional to accommodate a 33”-long and 10”-wide deck, the bag features handy pockets in the nose, tail and center. Other embellishments are seen in the back drawcord made to hold accessories alongside the reflective studs in both rears, which looks decorative but also acts as tools to increase the rider’s visibility when skating. This meticulous range displays Asahi’s avant-garde approach to contemporary skateboarding apparel and will be available in forthcoming months via selected retailers.
