Progressive eyewear purveyors MYKITA venture into 2013 with a forray of translucent frames via their first optical collection using the Mylon material. Taking inspirations from athletics motifs and stripped-back futuristic design cues, the collections exhibits an array of colorful frames for both practical and trend-driven purposes. While the Phoneix and Pluto nod at classic construction mixed with modern refinement, the Pelot and Basky reinterpret the popular ’30s round- and panto-shaped models with contemporary colorways. Lightweight, flexible and technical – with some lenses available in both sun and correction frames in hydrophobic nano-coating to repel water droplets – the new collection can be purchased in selected retailers.
