Fendi‘s winter menswear presentation took a decidedly Nordic approach to the season. As a reaction to global warming, perhaps, or the relationship between the humanity and nature that is at its purest during extreme conditions, the label’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection looked to the chilly climes of Scandinavia for its inspirations. Chunky knits, parkas and Icelandic fisherman’s coats dominated the show in earthy hues, while accents of oiled leather, fur and wool added to the outdoorsy references throughout. This being a Fendi presentation, however, tailored wool suits, satin-lapeled tuxedos and slim topcoats were also present, adding a softer element to the more rustic facets of the collection.
