visvim returns to one of its staple materials making use of a heavily distressed denim for a pair of Spring/Summer 2012 SOCIAL SCULPTURE 99 DAMAGED-8 jean shorts. Employing an amalgam of patchwork, the denim sees whiskering and a damaged wash treatment given to the entirety of the mid-cut shorts. Donning an inverted aesthetic, the pair sees an unassuming square stitch motif along the left front waist – property normally monopolized by a leather patch on the reverse side of traditional denim. The pair is rounded out with a hit of brown suede along the right pocket, frayed lower hemming and metal rivets, and button hardware.
