Footwear and lifestyle brand Del Toro announced the grand opening of its first flagship store on December 5. Located in their native Miami, the store will be home to Del Toro’s evolving collection of both men’s and women’s shoes and accessories. Founded in 2005; Del Toro was originally established to provide a marketplace for men’s velvet slippers, but has since expanded to offer contemporary versions of classic silhouettes such as chukkas, espadrilles and sneakers. The new Del Toro Flagship Store will play host to the work of Miami-based artists’ Evoca1, Hoxxoh and GG who have each painted a mural of the boutique. The muse behind Del Toro’s creations comes from a mix of varied cultures and lifestyles combined to create a specific aesthetic for the brand including aspects of Palm Beach, New York, Japan, and the founder Matthew Chevallard’s Italian heritage.
