COMME des GARCONS‘ latest perfume takes fragrance marketing to a new level with its own “interactive journey” via POSTmatter.com – the freshly launched web extension of progressive iPad publication POST. Aptly described as experimental digital synaesthetics, the app presents an abstract kaleidoscopic interpretation of the perfume that simulates organic movement through a rainforest. In Rei Kawakubo‘s characteristically unconventional style, Amazingreen is an unorthodox concoction of green and mineral notes combining ivy, green pepper, orris, palm tree and jungle leaves with vetiver, white musk, silex (crushed stone) and gunpowder accord. This interactive HTML5 application plays like a psychedelic screensaver except instead of music, it responds to the cursor.
