In a time where pirating music has become more prevalent then purchasing it, Drake’s Take Care album remains the top selling hip-hop LP after nine weeks on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The Toronto native’s sophomore album sold 31,700 copies this week adding to a grand total of 1,320,600 albums sold. Hip-hop heavyweights Jay-Z and Kanye West hold a spot at number 26 for their duo album, Watch the Throne, selling 1,261,000 units after 23 weeks on the charts. Common, who’s recently taken to the mic in a dispute with Drake sits at number 50 for his album, The Dreamer/The Believer, which rose four spots to number 38 this week, selling a total of 106,100 records.
