BEAMS launched in Japan in the mid ’70s as a revolutionary multifaceted clothing manufacturer and retail operation who has grown to over 100 stores of varying conceptual execution that serves the ever-changing styles of new generations of Japanese consumers. The BEAMS PLUS concept launched five years ago with an aim at appeasing the desires of discerning gentlemen. Focusing on faithfully recreating American classics using only the finest Japanese fabrics and craftsmanship, 2012 finds BEAMS PLUS drawing inspiration from the 1960s and ’70s, adding in new styles such as the PO Shirt, Double Breasted Blazer and Naval Overcoat to the existing range of American classics. Other standout pieces include the Mountain Parka Oxford Shirt, Plain Shirt and Railroad Vest, all reworked and updated by the Japanese masters.
