Toward the end of 2010, Portland rock band Unknown Mortal Orchestra burst onto the scene with their single, “Ffunny Ffrends.” Finally, last summer, that song saw the light of day as the opening track on UMO’s eponymous debut album on Fat Possum Records. One of the standouts from the LP is “Thought Ballune,” a track that infuses the psychedelic-meets-pop-rock sound that the band has become known for. Presented now is a demented, yet amusing music video for the song. In addition to watching it above, check out UMO’s brand new 2012 tour dates here, and purchase Unknown Mortal Orchestra here.
