I’m originally from Chicago but have lived on the West Coast long enough to call it home. The unofficial mayor of Hong Kong, Brian Siswojo was in the mix as well. Brian is Hong Kong family and has been holding it down for skateboarding here forever, 852 was the first shop to get a Syndicate project in Asia. We are officially part of what Brian calls the Rusty crew for our current state of skateboarding.

Terminal in Hong Kong… Waiting for the ferry to go into mainland China.

Waiting at the hotel before my ride to the factory. I remember when I first started coming out to China 10 years ago and it was almost all dirt roads, now it’s city as far as the eye can see.

Factory tour of Asiatan tannery, it’s beyond belief how much work goes into making a leather shoe. It’s very humbling to be walked through the process, the guys at Asiatan really take pride in what they do.
