Having had a special connection with Porter over the last few seasons, New York-based technical brand ISAORA was in the midst of launching a new style when Japan’s devastating tsunami hit. Changing their focus, the newly available Canoe Pack has been utilized as a vehicle for philanthropy as $200 USD from the sale of each bag will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross. The bag’s design is inspired by the Poirer Pack, a bag originally conceived by French-Canadian Camille Poirer back in 1882. It is said that the bag was the basis for modern backpack design. ISAORA’s design is a modern interpretation with an iPad pouch, Japanese construction, and a red ISA-Flake logo. The bag is available now via the ISAORA online store.
