As part of the ongoing "Glow in the Dark" tour featuring Kanye West, Rihanna, Lupe Fiasco and N.E.R.D., world renowned jacket designer Dr. Romanelli and graphic designer Nathan Cabrera have created a special piece for rising music star Lupe Fiasco. The leather bomber tour jacket features a laser etched design revealing intricate art work originally seen on Lupe's "The Cool" album cover. The jacket is available exclusively at all the select cities taking part in the "Glow in the Dark" tour.

After much news and fanfare, the Dr. Romanelli x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star will hit UNDFTD today. The All Star created as part of the (PRODUCT) RED initiative has side benefits as it doubles as a humanitarian effort in bringing in the private sector to benefit. The shoe itself is covered in bandages as a reminder there is a fix for a positive change. Check your local UNDFTD dealer for availability.
Last night, Converse held a launch party for Dr. Romanelli's new Converse (RED) shoe in Los Angeles. The new shoe was made with (PRODUCT) RED which is a program to help fight AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis. Inspired by the (PRODUCT) RED project, Dr. Romanelli went out to create a band-aid motif Chuck Taylor. According to Supertouch, Dr. Romanelli said:
"The 1HUND(RED) Artists project really motivated me to create something unique and I choose the band-aids as a fix for positive change."
Aside from the unveiling of Dr. Romanelli's sneaker, a high octane exhibition included other artist created footwear and artworks including Hiroshi Fujiwara (Japan), Jeremyville (Australia), Michael White for Dondi White (USA), Colletivo Design (Brazil), Grandpeople (Norway), Mike Schall
(USA), Supakitch (France) and UPSO (USA).
In addition, Lupe Fiasco was there at the party for some live performances. For those who missed out, you can check out the party pictures at Supertouch. The sneakers itself go on sale at the beginning of this month at the nation's leading sneaker stores, Undefeated and Dave's Quality Meats with 10% of net whole price going towards Geneva's The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

If there's ever a concept driven designer, the award belongs in the hands of Dr Romanelli. Countless collections from the famed clothing designer and customizer have been subjected to his interesting concepts and themes . In a recent project with the countries leading vintage dealer Fruition out of Las Vegas, a special capsule of products were created. Each piece was painstakingly chosen by Chris Julian and the Fruition team and modified by Dr. Romanelli to reflect a new and contemporary take on vintage designs. The two sub-collections include a loud and vibrant Nike collection and a classic Christian Dior collection. The capsule is currently available at Fruition.

Chicago based artist Lupe Fiasco and jacket maker extraordinaire Dr. Romanelli have teamed up in a recent collection based on Lupe Fiasco's sophomore album, The Cool. The Cool collection is represented by a series of reversible jackets depicting artwork seen in Lupe's album cover art.
