anyone have a review for the Audio-Technica ATH-M50's, these look like pretty good headphones and some say the louder end has better quality than the Sony MDR700's.

I have had the Sony MDR-V700DJs before and now i have the m50s.. With the sony's i felt more closed in and the sounds felt more bassy.. too much bass for me to hear the audio clearly. M50s however, the songs sound very clear! Not a lot of bass but just enough and as any other headphones also there's a "Burn in" period and my M50s get better everytime! The bass seems to get stronger the more i use it. So if you're looking for some headphones and are interested in the M50s you probably won't be dissapointed. Very comfortable compared to the sonys and sounds perfectly clear. Sound leaks are almost none as when i have them on i cant even hear anything outside when i'm listening to music and people can't hear my music either. Great closed headphones. And if you can wait a bit you might want to look into getting the new Shures coming out. These are the Shure SRH840 and i think they're going to be around 200$. That's the highest priced headphones in the set. There's also a SRH240 which is around 100$ and a SRH 480 which is around 150$.

And Check out how flexible it is..

i'm contemplating seinnheiser 555s or those sony mdr-v700s. i want some good bass and i'm just using them for my zune.

i want the most comfortable in terms of fit on head, ears, and the one with the least annoying cord. i also want the most outside sound blockage and the most sound insulation.

i'm really contemplating only these two or anything else $125 or below.

Sony MDR-V700DJs seem worth it for the 100, and that flexibility is sickk

ahh well still cant go wrong with my audio technica ath-em7's, just wish they had more bass, but really crisp highs and no distortion or break in sound at higher volumes, really comfortable at least to me too

anyone ever use the koss portapro headphones? i hear for the sub 100 line of headphones, those cannot be beaten, im thinkin bout coppin to hold me over till i get my grados for xmas

i tried those recently and thought they were insanely overrated. Definitely not worth the price.

They look great ( maybe the best lookin headphones out there ), the sound quality is great too..and you can grab em off ebay, brand new 240shipped, it aint that bad.

They a lot better than my sennheisers, I think it was a good investition
