Flying Lotus to Make Directorial Debut and Drop New Music at Sundance Film Festival

At the very start of this year, Flying Lotus unveiled an ambitious, very impressive new short film, FUCKKKYOUUU. Now, he’s revealed plans for his directorial debut. Revealing that his label Brainfeeder now has its own ‘film division,’ FlyLo announced plans to debut his new short film at the renowned Sundance Film Festival this year. Describing the film’s narrative as “an awkward love story that’s definitely not for the kiddies,” the eclectic, genre-bending artist revealed that inspiration from the film initially came from a GIF of his interaction with Thom Yorke during a set at L.A. beat scene institution Low End Theory. n October of last year there was this pretty awesome gif going around of me and Thom Yorke djing… I was fixated on this for a whole day and thought. Shit. I can make stuff like that… So now after lots of toiling tinkering begging and bothering I’m able to tell u this. Brainfeeder has started a film division,” he tweeted.
