PLEASURES Teams Up With ’Evangelion' for New Collaboration
Bridging LA streetwear style with anime aesthetics.
Since its 2015 founding by Alex James and Vlad Elkin, the Los Angeles-based brand PLEASURES has been building its identity around SoCal street style with an emphasis on graphic design. Like any streetwear label, collaborations are its bread and butter aside from mainline collection and PLEASURES has linked with the likes of Reebok, Joy Division, PUMA, Moose Knuckles and more. Now the brand is adding the anime series Evangelion to its roster with a new collaboration.
Given PLEASURES’ affinity for graphic design, it makes sense that the brand link up with an anime series – known for their striking visuals and action-packed storylines. With the new collaboration, the offering fuses the LA brand’s signature streetwear style with Evangelion’s core images.
The collection includes a range of hoodies, jackets, graphic tees, pants and accessories that include artwork and symbolism from Hideaki Anno’s show, which debuted in 1995. Designs range from screen-printed images to sleeve embroidery that includes phrases like “You won’t die. I will protect you.” Additionally, the pieces appear in shades of black, blue, yellow, white and more.
