It has been 37 years since Tinker Hatfield and Nike presented the Air Safari, which introduced the iconic safari print that has been utilized across many different Nike and Jordan Brand silhouettes. Now, with safari print playing a key role across various Olympic Games-themed pairs that have been spotted for this year — involving everything from the SB Dunk Low to the Air Force 1 Low — it has unveiled that the original Air Safari will be making a return as well.

Last released in 2018, this original design has been faithfully recreated once again. Its luxe-leaning presentation features its “Monarch” orange at the leather toe box and lining while black adorns the leather midfoot panel, tongue, laces and lateral Swoosh. A crisp gray then enters the mix at the mudguard, heel and collar, hosting its signature safari print in black. Rounding things out, the sole unit combines black and gray throughout.

At the time of writing, Nike has not disclosed release details regarding the return of the Air Safari OG. Stay tuned for updates as it’s currently expected to launch ahead of the start of this year’s Olympic Games as it has been given a tentative drop date of July 19 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $140 USD.
