It’s been 31 years since Jordan Brand brought forth the Air Jordan 9, which remains one of the line’s staple silhouettes decades later. The sneaker is off to a solid start this year, with the OG “Powder Blue” hitting shelves in March while the brand’s golf division dropped a Masters-themed colorway in April.
Now, it’s being readied in its original “Olive” look once again. It last released in 2012 and was remixed at the beginning of 2023 with a new “Light Olive” iteration. Staying true to the classic look, this year’s “Olive” release begins with brown at the nubuck mudguard and heel overlay. From there, a crisp black leather adorns the upper’s base, matching the sole unit, tongues, laces and heel tab. “True Red” accents round out the release at the sole and heel’s Jumpman branding and the tongue tag’s “AIR JORDAN” text.
At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not confirmed when the “Olive” colorway of the Air Jordan 9 will be releasing.
