BAPE Introduces Outdoor Adventure-Inspired SK8 STA
Coming in brown/purple and blue/red colorways.
Since its 2000 creation, the SK8 STA has been BAPE’s leading shoe. Over the years, the silhouette has been livened by a range of colorways and treatments ranging from supple calf leather to shiny patent leather – always outfitted for the streets of course. Now the streetwear imprint is veering outside for an outdoor adventure-inspired version.
Looking to natural-leaning hues, the new shoes come in brown/purple and blue/red colorways. This time around, the silhouette sees a mixed suede and calf leather build for enhanced durability. To keep the shoe’s stylish cadence the leather elements appear with tonal hues. But alongside the natural leather fabrics, the brand incorporates ripstop material for tear resistance against nature’s elements.
Further enhancing the outdoor aesthetic are hiking-style laces that incorporate a multi-hued w0ven design. Elsewhere is a two-tone sprinkled midsole and outsole for a contrasting touch that contrasts the shoe’s typically sleek design.
