Fred again.. Taps Anderson .Paak and CHIKA for "places to be"
Song of the summer?
Fred again.. just unveiled more heat in time for the summer months. With the help of Anderson .Paak and CHIKA comes “places to be,” a classic four-minute Fred cut with definite “song of the summer” potential.
Built on an unreleased sample from Anderson .Paak and CHIKA, the song is a bouncy and upbeat electronic offering, complete with additional production from Fred’s close collaborators Skrillex and Boo.
Fred’s been teasing the track on Instagram throughout the week, sharing footage of the him and .Paak cooking up in the studio.

“i remember bein in LA for the first time when i was like 21 and my girlfriend playing malibu in the car and being like wow what is this shit,” he reminisced in an Instagram caption.
“its a real privilege to be able to jam wit him and make music and hangs and stuff ykno.”
In another Instagram carousel from the UK-based DJ, he shared footage of Skrillex mixing the track as well as the original CHIKA sample he lifted.
“places to be” lands in the middle of Fred’s summer hot streak; he just recently unveiled his ever-evolving USB mixtape and is readying to run the festival circuit later this summer.
