The Neprosolar Wristwatch Makes a Comeback in a Bamford London Collaboration
Available to pre-order now.
For Bamford London’s newest collaborative offering, the British custom-watch specialist has teamed up with Swiss company Nepro to bring back the long-forgotten yet iconic Neprosolar model.
The Neprosolar was one of the first solar-powered digital concept timepieces that were introduced to the world back in the ‘70s. For this contemporary reiteration, Bamford London brings back the watch with a rechargeable and solar-powered quartz movement. It also provides essential timekeeping functions such as time, date and power reserve.
Appearance-wise, the watch faithfully reinterprets the original’s Space Age-inspired design while honoring its retro-futuristic aesthetics. Housed in a black-PVD-treated steel case, the watch boasts a symmetrical frame that measures 36.2mm in diameter.
Available for pre-order now via Bamford London’s online store, the Neprosolar is offered for a limited ordering window of one week only. Priced at £699 GBP (around $889 USD), the timepiece is expected to ship out in October once an order has been confirmed.
