MCM Drops Euro 2024 Capsule With Campaign Starring German Footballer Jonathan Tah

The lineup includes uniform-inspired tops, football-focused leather goods, heritage caps and more.

Ahead of this year’s European Football Championship, German luxury label MCM has pulled back the curtain on a capsule of ready-to-wear goods that pay tribute to Munich, one of this year’s host cities for the 2024 tournament, and its own heritage in the sport.

The six-piece lineup includes a uniform-inspired top and shorts that take after MCM’s signature Lauretos iconography, as well as backpacks and weekenders constructed with cut-out sections inspired by footballs. The collection also houses leather hats with the brand’s classic signage and its very own ball doused in its age-old logo work. Rounding out the product range, MCM has crafted six additional backpacks for the home nations of some of the sport’s most important players, including Germany, France, Switzerland, Portugal, Korea and Brazil.

The capsule’s debut coincides with a campaign starring Jonathan Tah, the German defender for the undefeated Bundesliga winner Bayer Leverkusen. Poised as a heavyweight for the German national team, Tah recently closed out a historical season, in which his team was undefeated for 48 consecutive matches. Shot in Düsseldorf by Davit Giorgadze and styled by Christian Stemmler, the campaign looks to celebrate the athlete’s impressive achievements ahead of Euro 2024, which kicks off in Munich on June 14.

MCM’s Euro 2024 capsule is now available to shop online and in select stores, with prices ranging from $350 USD to $1,390 USD. Explore the lineup in the gallery above.
