Bowers & Wilkins has tapped David Beckham to be the new face – or ears, should we say – of the brand. The footballer-fronted campaign kicks off the duo’s new long-term partnership, which signifies a collision of two British imprints, both of whom are committed to the pursuit of “unwavering perfection” in their performance.
Beckham, who dons the Bowers & Wilkins Px8 wireless headphones in the shoot, believes the pairing makes perfect sense.
“I’ve been a fan of Bowers & Wilkins for years and a proud owner of many of its products. Performance and design have always been important to me, which is why this partnership felt like such a natural fit,” Beckham said in a statement.
“Music has always played a huge role in my life. I can hear a track and remember exactly where I was and what I was doing. In our family, whenever special moments happen, there’s always a song to go with them.”
Becks elaborated on this sentiment in an Instagram caption, pointing further to his personal connection to music – and therefore high-quality audio streaming.
He cites examples including “parents’ playlists on long car journeys, tracks to focus me before a big game [and] singing along with my kids to their favorite hits on the school run” as key music-backed moments.
