US Soccer and Nike Unveil New Uniforms for All 27 National Teams
The uniforms will be worn leading up to and at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
US Soccer and Nike are showing off their new uniforms ahead of the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. As the official outfitter of the league, Nike has designed the home and away uniforms for all 27 national soccer teams.
Entitled the American Classic and American Icon uniforms, the teams will sport the sets during home and away games, respectively. Making their official debut at the Men’s National Teams’ match in Jamaica later this week, both the US National Team Women’s and Men’s teams will wear the new uniforms in the games leading up to Paris, as well as at the Olympics.
Along with those teams, the uniforms will be worn by the Extended National Teams – which includes beach soccer, deaf soccer and other subdivisions – and the Youth National Teams, appearing at this year’s FIFA World Cups.
The Classic kit features a white base jersey with red and blue trim. A subtle flag design appears throughout the color, along with another American flag on the chest. The jersey is paired with navy blue shorts.
Worn during away games, the Icon kit is mostly blue with a white and red bottom, emulating the classic Bomb Pop popsicle, which first served as the inspiration for the teams’ uniforms in 2014. Players will pair the jersey with red shorts and red socks.
Before their games, the teams also have a pre-match set with a blue and red wave pattern, bearing the logo of their sponsor, Volkswagen.
Soccer fans can shop the jerseys on the US Soccer online store beginning on March 21.
